January Earnings

For the month of January, I put spend across three credit cards:

American Express Blue Business Plus
Bank of America Premium Rewards
Barclays AAdvantage Aviator Red

I’m working on bonuses for the first two cards. I should complete the Bank of America bonus this month. That will be $600. With the spend I put on the card already, I redeemed for $52.25 at the end of January. The American Express (referral link) card has until June for the bonus, so I only charged a few things to that card to earn 6,389 points. The bonus for that one will be 75,000 Membership Rewards points. I wouldn’t have put any charges on the Barclays card except that I realized how close I was to earning a loyalty reward with American Airlines. Right now I’m 400 points short of being able to redeem for five seat upgrades. The deadline is the end of February, so I’ll put a bit more on the card before the statement closes on February 17. I earned 3,160 American miles between credit card spend and their shopping portal. As always, I pay off my card balances in full unless I have 0% interest which the Blue Business Plus does right now.

At the end of the month I finally received the Chase Ink Business Unlimited which had a $900 offer (down to $750 as of this post). After I finish the Bank of America bonus and the American Airlines additional spend, I’ll shift my expenses to that card.

In non-credit card earnings, I had $20 in Amazon gift cards. $10 was from the survey I did for the Winter Classic. The other $10 is a reward I get monthly for submitting 10 receipts to the Amazon Shopper Panel app. I earned points with other programs too, but didn’t redeem any with those in January.
